Hola, hola:

¿Cómo están? ¿Cómo estuvo su mes? Espero todo este marchando de maravilla.

Les comparto que en junio bajé un poco las revoluciones e hice algunas pausas para no saturarme y permitir despejar mi cabecita para que las nuevas ideas encontrarán un terreno fértil.

Como les comentaba en la entrada pasada, estas pausas me ayudan muchísimo para que esté más receptiva a esas ideas que “de golpe llegan” y vienen cargadas de nueva energía, colores y expansión creativa. No subestimemos las pequeñas cosas e interacciones del día a día.

Precisamente, algunas de las actividades cotidianas que nutren mi proceso creativo están el mantener actualizadas mis agendas tanto la del trabajo como la persona, hacer journaling y obviamente utilizo mis stickers y todos los que he venido coleccionando a lo largo de los años 😊 (son muchísimos). Cocinar algo rico, hornear mis postres favoritos (horneé un pastel muy especial para mi papá por el Día de Padre y a toda la familia les encantó el sabor y textura del pastel), el compartir una merienda en familia, la caminata con mis perrijos por las tardes, contemplar los colores del cielo a lo largo del día (sobre todo cuando estoy en el campo).

Todo esto me da toneladas de inspiración e ideas, y ahora solo me falta encontrar espacio para acomodar cada una de ellas en mi lista de “cosas que quiero ilustrar”.

Respecto a las colecciones de stickers, estuve trabajando en dos temáticas muy lindas, la primera llamada Clima-Weather 2, las ilustraciones las realicé con acuarelas y lápices de colores; la segunda llamada Cafecitos coloqué frases en español, inglés, italiano y japonés e ilustré diversos tipos de café utilizando plumones y lápices de colores, quedaron súper cute ambas colecciones 🎨☕.

Como he mencionado por aquí, el color es uno de los aspectos que más me apasiona en este mundo artístico-creativo, y una de las actividades que más disfruto hacer es probar nuevos materiales, conocer su composición, trabajar texturas, hacer pruebas de color y con ello crear paletas de color.

Normalmente, antes de empezar una ilustración me gusta seleccionar el medio con el que trabajaré, hacer pruebas de color y de esta forma mi proceso fluye mejor al preparar todo con antelación 😉.

Por último, les comparto que estoy trabajando en las nuevas colecciones y están quedando padrísimas.

Hello, hello!

How have you been? How was your month? I hope everything has been going wonderfully.

I wanted to share that in June I intentionally slowed down a bit and took some breaks to avoid feeling overwhelmed and to give my mind the space it needed so that new ideas could find fertile ground.

As I mentioned in my last post, these little pauses help me become much more receptive to those ideas that seem to arrive out of nowhere, bringing with them fresh energy, beautiful colors, and creative expansion. We shouldn’t underestimate the small moments and everyday interactions that inspire us.

Some of the everyday activities that nourish my creative process include keeping both my work planner and my personal planner up to date, journaling, and, of course, using my own stickers along with all the ones I’ve collected over the years (I have so many 😊!). I also love cooking something delicious, baking my favorite desserts (I baked a very special cake for my dad on Father’s Day, and my whole family loved both the flavor and the texture), enjoying an afternoon snack with my family, taking my dogs for an evening walk, and simply admiring the colors of the sky throughout the day (especially when I’m out in the countryside).

All of these little moments fill me with inspiration and new ideas. Now I just need to find room for all of them on my ever-growing list of illustrations I’d love to create.

As for my sticker collections, I’ve been working on two lovely new themes. The first one is called Clima-Weather 2 ith illustrations created using watercolors and colored pencils. The second one is called Cafecitos, featuring phrases in Spanish, English, Italian, and Japanese, along with illustrations of different coffee drinks created with markers and colored pencils. Both collections turned out super cute! 🎨☕

As I’ve mentioned before, color is one of the things I’m most passionate about in the creative world. One of the activities I enjoy the most is experimenting with new art supplies, learning about their properties, exploring textures, testing color combinations, and creating color palettes.

Before I start an illustration, I usually like to choose the medium I’ll be working with and spend some time making color swatches. Having everything prepared beforehand helps my creative process flow much more naturally 😉.
