Ci vediamo!
Hello everyone!
How are you?
I’m absolutely thrilled to be back on my blog and to share with you my creative process and how it is nourished by the little things in everyday life.
My month began with the launch of my sticker collections.
As I mentioned in my previous blog post, I spent time working on the design of each collection, focusing on two aspects that are very important to me: functionality and practicality on one hand, and on the other, adding that spark, that touch of color and shine wherever they are used. Believe me, the possibilities for creating beautiful compositions are endless, and I know you will enjoy them as much as I do.
One of my goals is to reflect the love and care poured into each collection, every theme, and every stroke. When you hold a sticker sheet in your hands, I want you to be able to appreciate the beautiful textures and color blends left behind by paint, crayons, or colored pencils🎨.
As I’ve shared before, sometimes creating requires taking small breaks and then returning with a clear mind. For me, those little breaks are my evening reading sessions, afternoons with my furry babies, watching my favorite Japanese series, or spending afternoons and evenings baking cookies and cakes. No matter the season, it has become a tradition to enjoy a delicious snack every day with a cup of coffee or tea. This month, I baked a delicious pineapple upside-down cake, some amazing oatmeal cookies, and my traditional carrot cake with cream cheese frosting 😊. I’ve already added these desserts to my list of things to illustrate.
The recipes I follow come from @dannnacupcakes, who is incredibly generous in sharing so many easy recipes that are perfect for any occasion. I highly recommend visiting her YouTube channel and following her recipes step by step—you won’t be disappointed, and you’ll love the results 😉.
To nurture my creative process, I draw a lot of inspiration from nature: birds, flowers, my morning walks, my mom’s garden with its great variety of flowers and plants, and even my own garden. I’m fortunate to have two beautiful trees there: a peach tree with a little “tail” (as shown in the photo) and a lemon tree that works very hard every year, putting all its energy into giving us three to five large, juicy lemons. It’s a variety known in Mexico as “Italian lemon.” In fact, today I harvested my first two lemons of the year, and they are beautiful and very large, measuring approximately 19 cm (7.5 inches) in circumference each. We’re now waiting for the remaining lemons to be ready for harvest 🍋😉.
A few days ago, I also made my first serrano pepper harvest. The little plant gave us one pepper, which we had the pleasure of enjoying in a delicious lunch prepared by my mom 😊.
While scrolling through my phone’s photo gallery, I realized that this month, without even planning it, I’ve been focused on capturing the flowers I encounter along the way—from the tiniest wildflowers to those we patiently care for at home. Capturing these little moments gives me tremendous inspiration and helps me record ideas that gradually take shape, allowing me to create art through stationery that carries this botanical charm. I think that’s something you can see reflected in the content I share on my Instagram stories 😉.
I would love to hear your thoughts and learn how your own creative processes are going.
Please feel free to reach out to me either through this blog or on my Instagram (@cindypaez.arte) 😊.
Until next month, when we meet again 😉.
